Cyanotype is a 180 year old photographic process that uses sunlight to turn images into deep blue prints. This kit has everything you need to get started, plus an instruction booklet full of tips so you can understand the process step by step.
Note: Due to the chemicals included, kits can currently only be shipped to New Zealand addresses.

Instruction booklet with my personal tips
How it works
Prepare: Fill the bottles with water and leave them to dissolve for 24 to 48 hours.
Make your negatives: Print your photographs onto the transparency sheets.
Coat: Mix the two solutions and brush them onto the watercolour paper to make your own light-sensitive paper.
Expose: Place a negative on top (or an object, leaf or drawing) and leave it in the sun.
Wash: Rinse the print in a bath of water and watch the image appear.
What you’ll need
A printer, a picture frame, a sunny day and some water.
Choose your kit
The two kits are identical except for the transparency sheets, so pick the one that is compatible with the printer you’ll use to make your negatives. Home printers are often inkjet. If you have access to a photocopier, I recommend the laser printer transparencies.
Extra information
The solution makes enough for 40+ A4 prints, so you can keep going long after the included paper runs out. Once the bottles are prepared, the solutions keep for 6 months to a year when stored separately in a cool, dark place. Cyanotype is considered a low toxicity process, similar to laundry detergent, and gloves are included for anyone with sensitive skin.
Handmade and packed in Auckland, New Zealand. 💙
